Welcome Home to Moreau Hall
Goal IV: The building of community as a christian value
As Director of the residential program, it is my pleasure to welcome you home to Moreau Hall. Our residential program is a unique aspect of our community at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, enriching the lives and culture of both our day and resident students. With residents from the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, we are dedicated to integrating cultural diversity in all aspects of our shared community. Our biggest goal as mentors to your children is to teach life skills, critical thinking skills, independence, autonomy, and conflict resolution.
It is our mission to help every girl feel welcomed, connected, and a part of the Sacred Heart family. We strive to challenge each girl to grow in her academic abilities and to be ready to take on the world and its challenges when she graduates.
Here at Sacred Heart, we live and breathe the Five Goals. An integral part of our program is Goal IV: Community. Our girls appreciate and celebrate the unique experiences and perspectives of their sisters from all over the world, and these lessons remain with them throughout their lives. As our foundress, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, stated, "Your example, even more than your words, will be an eloquent lesson to the world."

The Moreau Hall Experience
Moreau Hall accommodates 30-50 female students in Grades 8-12 and has been in continuous operation since the school opened in 1821.
A Global Experience
The residential program attracts students from the United States and around the world, including most recently China, Nigeria, Germany, Bulgaria, and Brazil. These students are academic achievers who have a strong desire to succeed and to contribute to the Sacred Heart community.
Flexible Residential Opportunities
The five-day program provides students with an opportunity to reside at school during the week and go home for the weekends. The seven-day residential program offers planned activities each weekend. Both programs foster the ideals of independence, leadership and personal responsibility, as well as the building of community.
